Demographic Change and Future Elections
Let's be honest, America will never be what it was. The demographic and morality drifts have been too severe and can't be reversed. Over time, politics will follow the trend of the Third World nations our new inhabitants hail from.
Here's the sad truth: Even if immigration is completely stopped, demographic forecasts put American natives on the losing team in the long run unless there is some kind of miraculous shift in intelligence and culture among our (currently) minority populations.
By this reckoning, The Donald is a reprieve, not a watershed.
Too much is working against the white birthrate to hope for trends to reverse. Feminism, commercialism, secularism, cost of living increases, the overall decline of traditional masculinity and the traditional family, online pornography, abortion, etc.
I'd admit that maybe my doom and gloom attitude is too strong; but there's ample reason to be concerned, skepticism of the aforementioned forecast models notwithstanding. There are no First World nations I'm aware of with below-replacement level birthrates among their native populations that reversed the trend. Perhaps, if kept in a bubble, the population would reach a steady state (even though Japan still is declining), but it becomes a much different story when borders are open to less-civilized, high-fertility groups. Sure, the white American demographic is not going to vanish but it's very clear we will soon lose our plurality and very likely will soon after be a minority.
On the plus side, with The Donald at least we may have decided that we're not ready to jump off the cliff just yet. I'm having so much fun this election (especially with my California friends) that I may fly out to D.C. for the Inauguration.
