For the love of God can we cool it with the Trump and Hitler comparisons? Here's what I'm talking about:
We get it, guys. You don't like The Donald. Hitler, though? That's the best you got? The worst part of anything like this, as always, are the hordes of people who actually think this is insightful.
You know who supported immigration controls and "persecuted" foreigners? FDR. Woodrow Wilson. Hell, up until 1965, the widely-supported immigration policy for the nation favored specific nations, races, and religions.
Holy Christ do you children have any concept of history?
The problem, though, is that when you worship an ideology, anything that preaches the same tenets gets the same standing ovation as the rest of your religion. And what's really disconcerting about our modern society, especially in regards to young people, is that the mainstream religion has grown so pervasive that it's followers don't even realize they've all been duped -- it's just the mode of thinking they've been conditioned to use. 2+2=5. It's why something like that graphic above gets shared all over the internet and the points about Donald Trump aren't even questioned.
But there are two sides to every coin. Watch me do it with conservatives:
Fist pump! Go get 'em, Gabe! Fight those progressive, PC, fascist, faggy libtards!
But before you liberals jump up and down screaming about how I've cherry-picked examples or grossly exaggerated things Obama has done or believes (and I have), remember this: anyone with a brain sees you've done the same thing with Donald Trump!
I got things to do today, but I could probably cook one of these up for each Republican and Democratic candidate and each American president over the past few decades.
Remember, kids, simplification does not mean wisdom. When you gloss over things like details, context, and facts because your pea-sized brains can't conceptualize complex lines of thinking, you see wisdom in the most idiotic of things.

What blows my mind is, over the past 30+ years, I've seen the Left castigate the Right for not teaching critical thinking. That's largely true in fundie circles; but the Left has its own fundamentalism, whose very religiosity -- a step worse than religiousness -- frothingly attempts to silence any dissenting critique worse than all but the most aberrently-touched zealots of any other association.
