Tomorrow is the Inauguration of Donald Trump -- the event many of us worked so hard for and sacrificed so much for over the last nearly two years.
I believe in being level-headed above all things. I rarely permit myself to get too caught up in excitement for very long although, I must confess, I lingered a bit long after November 8.
Time for a trip back to reality.
How optimistic for the future should any of us be really? DJT was an important victory to be sure, but it took the Left taking us to the edge of the cliff before we collectively resisted, even though the cliff could be seen from miles away.
Even those minorities, young people, immigrants, and women who came to our side in this, how long will they stay? How long until the next Leftist demagogue promises them utopia and they are hoodwinked yet again? How long till the prosperity which will follow the incoming government makes them once again fat and apathetic?
You see the people in the streets tonight dancing and protesting? You see their media, corporate, and globalist enablers? Are they going anywhere? How high can your faith in the American brand of democracy possibly be if all these people have a vote?
Demographic projections do not make me feel any better.
I've said it before many times: The Donald is a reprieve, not a watershed. The only unknown is how long it will last.
Enjoy the next 8 years. It will be fun, but it is also the time to prepare. Mind your families, your investments, and your own well-being.
Nothing lasts forever.
