But what's causing it? Why is the West declining in this way -- like a host willfully accepting a parasite?
For my money, the destruction of the traditional family is the largest contributing factor to Europe's demise (and ours, too). The family unit is what populates a nation with well-behaved natives and reinforces in the minds of all its people the importance of history, culture, legacy, and posterity thereby protecting the native people. The family also places fathers at their proper place as leaders in the home and this extends through all levels of government. Immigration, social welfare programs, political correctness, hate crime legislation, victim culture... these are all feminine philosophies. And the culture's lost masculinity, displaced and forgotten because of the decline of the family unit, allows these destructive philosophies to flourish.
Thank you for posting this (and other pieces). While I only mean the following semi-facetiously, I have been thinking, for at least 15 years now -- in view of one or more of the above -- that we (the entire world, really) needs to turn to the god Crom of Conan's time. Little is known of him (read: Robert E. Howard wrote little about Crom, lol) but he was a harsh, unfeeling god of a severe, northern land (Conan's home turf was modeled, more or less, on Scandinavia if you look at a map of the world, circa 13,000 BC). I wouldn't survive it; and natural processes, left to their evolutionary and ecosystemal devices, would weed out half the world's peeps of today -- which is notable (though, to most on both the religiose Left and religious Right, unsayable, unthinkable) in light of all the recent talk of humans being the cause of the next mass organismal wipeout.
