Los Angeles just rolled out new rules to empower cyclists to take over the roads. My first thought was, "God, I hate this city."
Now, however, I think I'm going to accept every little thing about it and just chalk it up to living here. Quit fighting, you know? People don't move to New York and resist the subway, so why should I be any different?
Traffic is awful and gas is expensive? I'll buy a scooter.
Roads are in such disrepair that residents pay $2,500 more on average? I'll just drive my car on weekends.
Cyclists own the road? I'll take my bike to the store and gym.
No parking anywhere? I'll take the bus or Uber or pay the valet.
Rolling blackouts because we don't have a functioning power grid that allows for all the illegals to overwhelm the system? I'll read a book.
I'll pay extra for bags at the store.
I won't wash my car.
I won't expect the police to ever help me.
I'll pretend to love diversity.
You win, Los Angeles. Living in opposition was too much. I just want to relax and go to the beach.
